About Our TLC
At Our TLC, we have been providing high-quality home care and supported living services for over thirty years. We put people at the very centre of everything we do, providing personalised care and support of the highest standard. Based in Saltaire, we have an experienced duty support worker 7 days a week between the hours of 9-5 with access to our electronic client records and rotas, to respond to direct calls, enquiries, and concerns as required. We’re aware that our clients are vulnerable, and we meet regularly to discuss concerns and will pass on information in reviews with care coordinators and care teams. Senior support staff and managers are regularly invited and in attendance at inter-agency review meetings including MACP, MARAC, and CPA.
What We Do
At Our TLC, we predominantly provide support to adult-age individuals suffering from mental health problems. We work collaboratively with a range of Community Mental Health services including Forensic, Trauma-informed, Early Intervention, Integrated Outreach and Community Mental health Teams, to provide support to individuals with mental health difficulties and those who are difficult to place.
Most of our care packages are able to start within two weeks of the funding being agreed. While all support is subject to review, Our TLC endeavours to provide consistency with regular time slots for visits and requires two weeks’ notice for any changes, or cancelled contracts. For larger care packages i.e. 24/7 contracts, double handed etc, it can take longer and advance notice where possible is recommended.
We Are Focused On Your Comfort and Wellbeing
We aim to offer a secure, relaxed, warm and homely environment for people receiving our services, as your care, well-being, and comfort are of prime importance. We also understand that language can sometimes be a barrier in care, however, at Our TLC our diverse workforce speak multiple languages. This means you can be paired up with a carer from a similar cultural background with similar interests, making communication effortless and allowing you to create a meaningful bond.
We pride ourselves on providing the highest standard of care, and we are deeply committed to upholding these standards throughout our organisation and our delivery of services by:
- Ensuring that our staff visit you on time.
- Employing the highest calibre of staff to provide a professional, caring and dignified person-centred service.
- Vetting our staff and ensuring that all the necessary checks are in place, and adhering to safer recruitment practises.
- Matching you to staff who are best suited to meeting your needs, preferences, and aspirations.
Our Values
At Our TLC, we're passionate about the people we work with and go above and beyond to support them in living a better life. How It All Started
Our TLC was founded in 1994 by Rachael, first opening a three-bed supported living property. This transpired after identifying a need for a safe, transitional space for individuals with mental health diagnoses, to move out of the hospital and back into the community. Over the years, Our TLC has grown significantly and now operates over 18 supported living homes. The company’s service offering has also evolved and now ranges from 24-hour care to more flexible options including night cover and domiciliary care.
At Our TLC, Our Home Care Service is Thoroughly Regulated by the Care Quality Commission
From your initial call to our welcoming team, every aspect of your home care service is independently overseen and regulated by the CQC (the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England), and Care Inspectorate Wales(CIW).
